Bob does it!

Two days back Abhishek called and said he is preparing dinner and will make some for us. Took me by surprise, but could not say no. With his restaurant business almost towards closure, I thought it might be good to make some payment, which he politely declined.

He said he loved cooking and thought of cooking something for us when he remembered us. He wanted to make Palak Paneer, but changed to Dal Makhani & Tava Alloo when he could not get good Palak.  Really tasty food, and especially outside food after such long time.

Went and picked up from BEML gate, as Covid restricts folks to come home. Time to make some South Indian dish for him:)

Covid - New masked way of life

After almost 2 months of no official travel, with relaxation, started going out. Life for people who are stepping out, seems to be normal. For those who are inside house, seems scary.

Went out last 4 days of this week (Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri) to different parts of Bangalore (Dodbalapur to Karmelaram). People are moving around freely, with some caution, but life seems to continue as usual for lot.

The new life mode seems to be masked. 

Sid turns 10!!!

Sid turned 10 this year. With Covid 19, it was a silent home made cake birthday. He had day with all his favourite food:)

You Mee anniversary get-together

It was 3 anniversary in 4 days, ManRessa, Beki/Akhi and us. General catch-up planned with softnest gang at Prestige Shanthiniketan, You Mee restaurant.

Peecos and Rohan!

It was a surprise evening with Bijua calling as he was roaming around Indira Nagar. Decided to go for a drink, and the bigger surprise bwas meeting Rohan bout of the blue (almost after 6-7 years). 

Caught up at Peecos and it was a nice time.

Evening at Bijoos!

It was Pongal holiday and checked if Bijoos were free. Ended up @Bijoos house around 4:30PM. Played some board games "We got crab", "Get Bit" with Nanus, Bijooty and Sid. 

Was good to meet them after long time:)

11-Jan: Saturday run

Went to Vibhutipura park. Did two rounds of walking and 4 rounds of run.

Stepped out to ISCKON temple restaurant "The Higher Taste" for lunch. Mee prepared some yummy Gulab Jamoon and mixture.

Sid does Cubbon in cycle

Sid did his first cycle trip to Cubbon park. I went running with him while he cycled. Though I had my doubts if he will be able to complete both ways, he did it without much fuss. Met Arvind there and had the idlis from food truck. Memorable day.

Birthday in Blore

Dad's birthday Pooja was done in Bangalore this year. It was done at Kagadaspura Shiva temple. Morning Sid dropped in and went to school, while we continued with the prayers.

Rohit gets hooked

Rohit finally got married. We all went to Delhi to attend his marriage.

Yearly time that brother comes to Bangalore. This time it was on way back as he could not make a stop over on his way to Kannur. Unfortunately Prince had fever and cold, which slightly dampened the mood.

Anyways, the second day was better and Sid & Prince were on there own playing imaginary car games. And yes, it was one of those times where Sid did not come asking for iPad;)

Golden moment!!!

Today Sid won Gold medal in IEO (International English Olympiad). It was a proud moment (internally) for us as family.

Usual year-end family reunion - 2019

Fortunate to continue with our family reunion with everyone together in Kannur, its rare that all family members are together.

Usual first was Dad's birthday (74th). Got cake from "Kulfi" in Tellichery (red velvet). It was with wonderful and creative gift by kids to Achacha (we must say we all were moved by their affection). 

New year was time for Bro's bday. This time got cake from Just Bake, Kannur. Day when he locked Nano, leaving keys inside, but with experience, it was easy to unlock it. 

This time Rummy rocked with both sons and father busy with it. Am sure the ladies got a bit annoyed with it, but then who bothers;) 

Was good to see some rare sight of bro playing with kids (akad bakad bombay bo) ;)
